A “celebration of life” for A. F. Curtis, a longtime Legal resident, will be held Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Kiowa Church of Christ, 19129 US-69, Kiowa, OK. Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Curtis was born December 14, 1941 to Orville and Nora Blanche (Casey) Curtis in Ashland, OK and passed away January 1, 2020 at his home in Legal, OK at the age of 78 years and 18 days. He attended and graduated from Ashland High School in 1960 then attended and graduated from Dallas IBM technical training school and later attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. A. F. married Aloma Dell Shores in Legal, OK on August 25, 1961. He was a longtime member of the Legal Church of Christ, was the Secretary of Ashland Fire Department, was a member of the Ashland Cemetery Board, and a member of Ashland Home Coming Committee. He enjoyed hunting, playing music and singing.

Survivors include his wife, Aloma Dell Curtis of the home; sons, Anthony W. Curtis and wife Sharla of Stillwater and Randy Curtis of Moore, OK; grandchildren, Alison Baca and husband Joe of Covington, OK, Zach Curtis and Audrey Curtis both of Stillwater, Lilly Curtis and Jackson Curtis both of Moore, OK; great grandsons, Ryker Baca and Dylan Baca, both of Covington, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters, Fern McCoy, Sammie Lee Dement, Ava Genell Walkup and Lucy Arvella Harrison.
