Service Saturday for William McKinney

Services for William Nelson McKinney, Jr. a Coalgate resident, will be held Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coal-gate with Pastor Delbert White officiating. Visitation will be Friday 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. McKinney was born May 25, 1956 to William Nelson and Sally Irene (Alford) McKinney at Scotia, CA and passed away February 17, 2019 at Coalgate at the age of 62 years, 8 month and 24 days. He attended Hoguiam High School and was a logger and a pipeliner. He spent 15 years together with his wife, Delores Walker. William was affiliated with the Gospel Lighthouse Church. He enjoyed carpentry, carving out of wood, watching OU play and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Delores Walker of Coalgate; children, Stacie McKinney, Cora Focht and husband Clint, all of Coalgate, Eric McKinney of Licking, MO, Joey Casey and wife Brandy of Columbia, MO, Michelle Miklaucic and husband Joseph of Coal-gate, Christina Cole and husband Albert of Wister OK, Chris Riley and Cambree Hudson of Olney and Cody Walker of Coalgate; fourteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Richard McKinney of Hoguiam, CA and Kelly J. McKinney of Roseburg, OR; sisters, Da-Linn Matlock of Rock Springs, WY and Quinn McKinney of Aberdeen, WY, along with many other friends and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Kim Griggs.
