Service Thursday for Elsie May Rumley

Funeral services for Elsie May (Cobb) Rumley, a Coalgate resident, will be held Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Bro. Eddie Hogue officiating. Interment will be in Lehigh Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Rumley was born on October 14, 1929, to John Henry and Ruth Marguerite (Carlisle) Cobb, at Cogar, OK and passed away on January 06, 2026 at Coalgate, OK at the age of 96 years, 2 months and 23 days. She attended high school. Elsie retired from Wilson & Co. Meat Packing Co. She married Marshall F. Rumley on January 22, 1947 at Anadarko, OK and they spent 54 wonderful years together before his passing. Elsie was a member of Assembly of God. She enjoyed genealogy.

Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Wilson of Coalgate; son Marshall Rumley, Jr. of Oklahoma City; grandsons, Jim Wilson and wife Jackie of Tulsa, Joe Wilson and wife Terri of Cement, OK, Jeff Wilson and Christopher Rumley, both of Oklahoma City; great-grandchildren, Joey Sanders, Kristin Wilson, and Mariah Wilson; great-greatgrandchildren, Chloe Sanders, Mason Sanders, Brynlee Sanders, and Michael Bitsche; sister, Sadie Hornsby of Sayre, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dearly loved friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Ruth Marguerite (Carlisle) Cobb; husband, Marshall F. Rumley; sisters, Mary Patterson and Ellen Cobb; and brother, Edward Cobb.
