Joyce “June” (Woods) Taylor left this world on June 11, 2022, at the age 78. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to many.

June was born to Harvey and Beatrice Woods on December 31, 1943, in Sacramento, California. Soon after June’s birth the family moved to Coalgate, Oklahoma where she was raised with siblings Royce, James, Ann, and Becky. After graduating from Tupelo High School, June attended business school in Dallas, Texas, before returning to her beloved Oklahoma to begin her career in the Insurance industry. After spending over twenty years with Legal Shield in Ada, June retired in 2020.

June was an avid movie aficionado, spending much of her free time collecting, watching and sharing her favorites. She was a huge Country music and Elvis Presley fan, listening as often as she could. She always enjoyed and looked forward to spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her four children: Barbara Gayle and husband Matthew, Angela Sharp and husband Randy, Nina Quiroz and husband Jorge, Cliff Taylor and wife Cindy. June was blessed with nineteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren: Joel, Zachary, Jacob, Lucas, Adam, Madison, Jeremy, Jessica, Ryan, Aydan, Morgan, Jennifer, Junior, Daniel, Bear, Hayden, Nathan, Lilliauna, Paisley, Madeline, Sophia, Jada and Jayden. Also survived by loving sisters Ann Hill and Becky Morgan.

A funeral service is scheduled for 10 am on June 16, 2022 at Brown’s Funeral Chapel, Coalgate, Oklahoma with Reverend Brian Smith Officiating. Interment will be at Wilson Cemetery.

Casketbearers are Joel Locker, Jeremy Salinas, Arturo “Junior” Gurrola, Daniel Gurrola, CB Hill, Cliff Taylor.

Honorary casket bearer is Hayden Taylor.

A visitation will be Wednesday June 15 from 1:00 to 8:00 PM.
