Service today for Christine Prince-Keeler

Funeral services for Hazel “Christine” (Standridge) Prince-Keeler, a longtime Coalgate resident, will be held Wednesday (today), October 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Coalgate Church of Christ with Bro. Charles Collett officiating. Burial will be in Non Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Keeler was born November 9, 1930 to Little Ike and Ruby Maple (Coffee) Standridge at Parker Community in the home of her grandparents Jim Arther and Julie

,

Bell (Griffin) Coffee and

passed away October 21, 2018 at Coal-gate at the age of 87 years, 11 months and 12 days.

She attended Centrahoma Schools and Coalgate High School. Christine later attended numerous classes to get her certification for her CMA. She worked at Ruth Wilson Hurley Manor for 30 years as a Certified Medication Aid, retiring in 1992. Christine was also an in-home caregiver for Mrs. Mowdy for several years.

She married Harold Prince on December 24, 1947 at Sherman, TX. He preceded her in death in 1991. She later married Richard Keeler on May 6, 2002 at Coalgate, OK. He preceded her in death in 2006.

Christine was a longtime member of the Church of Christ. She loved crocheting, sewing, quilting, cooking, canning, scrap-booking and photo crafting. Her greatest joy was taking care of her children, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughters, Delores Elaine Rice and husband George of Pittsburg, OK and Nelda Darlene Crabtree and husband Tom of Ada, OK; son, Frankie Louis Prince and wife Shelley of Lehigh, OK; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Regina Baker and husband Danny of Coalgate and Ruth Nichols-Lehnick of Fresno, CA; along with numerous other family and many dear and loved friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; sons, Howard Glenn Prince and Billy Don Prince; sister, Francis Dwiggins; brothers, David Standridge, Fred Standridge, Charles Standridge, Ike Standridge, James Joe Standridge, Charles Standridge and Bill Standridge; brothers-in-law, Gene Nichols, Van Dwiggins and Al Lehnick; infant children, Harold Wayne Prince, Larry Dean Prince and Dennis Darrell Prince.

Casketbearers will be Larry Mc-Collum, Marvin Hampton, Sr., Bill Larcey, “Cowboy” Rice, Danny Baker, Jimmy Coffee and Gary Guinn. Honorary casketbearers will be her beloved grandchildren.
