Services for Stella Lou (Ables) Winningham, a Coalgate resident, were held Wednesday, (today) December 28, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Jeff Roebuck officiating. Brown’s Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Winningham was born December 26, 1943 to Sid Edward and Loretta (Chastain) Ables at Olney, OK and passed away December 21, 2022 at Oklahoma City at the age of 78 years, 11 months and 25 days. She graduated from Olney High School and married Charles Winningham May 29, 1961 at Coalgate, OK. He preceded her in death January 30, 2015. Stella was a loving homemaker and a wonderful wife and mother. She was a member of the Cottonwood Baptist Church. Stella liked sewing and cooking and her most cherished times were spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Kenneth Winningham and wife Luci of Bellingham, WA; brother, Ernest “Tubby” Ables and wife Mary and Howard Ables, all of Coalgate, OK; sister, Joann Winningham and husband Tony of Colbert, OK; grandsons, Charlie Mayo and wife Jennifer of Chandler, OK and Travis Mayo and wife, Samantha of McAlester, OK; great-grandchildren, Austin Mayo, Creedence Mayo, Trinity Sutton, Jadis Mayo, Trever Sutton, Bridgett Delsigne, Bob Marley Mayo and Gary Mayo who were all very special to Stella.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Winningham; parents, Sid Edward and Loretta (Chastain) Ables; brothers, Leo Ables and Wayne Ables; sister, Joyce Blevins; grandson, Gary Shawn Mayo; great-granddaughter, Aubrey Dawn Mayo; sistersin- law, Wendy Ables and Ann Ables; and brother-inlaw, Dick Blevins.

Honorary casketbearers were Kenneth Winningham, Charlie Mayo, Ernest Ables, Howard Ables, Trevor Sutton and Travis Mayo.
