Funeral services for Troy Alan Hall, a Coalgate resident, will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Ella Mae Ward officiating. Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hall was born March 7, 1963 at Dallas, TX and passed away February 22, 2024 at his home in Coalgate at the age of 60 years, 11 months and 15 days. He graduated from Plano Senior High School and worked in construction. He was a contract laborer for Airborne Express and a mechanic and car hauler for David Ward. For the past 10 years, Troy worked in maintenance at the Coal County General Hospital and Ruth Wilson Hurley Manor.

Growing up, Troy was a great soccer player. He was so good that he was chosen to play on a select team that got to go play in Mexico. Troy liked fishing, watching the Dallas Cowboys and Nascar. He was a true friend, was honest and worked hard. He was loved by his life partner of 10 years, Christy Machado. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include life partner, Christy Machado of the home in Coalgate; children, Travis Alan Hall and Haley Hall, both of Dallas, TX; mother and father, Freddie and Odis F. Hall of Plano, TX; siblings, Darren Hall and Shelly Hall, both of Dallas, TX; nephew, Jace Hall of Plano, TX; mother-in-law, Joyce Machado of Coalgate; brother-inlaw, Michael Machado and wife Dorothy of Keller, TX; step-nephews, Dante and Dylan Machado; stepchildren, Danae Miller and husband Brandon Smith of Coalgate, Ronnie Miller and wife Kalea of Pauls Valley, OK, and Lexi Miller of Atoka, OK; stepgrandchildren, Henson Miller and Blaze Smith; special lifetime friends, Rick Coleman, David Steves, Kenny and Allison Thompson and Bobby St. George; along with numerous family and many dearly loved friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Dorothy A. Hosea; paternal grandmother, Lydia Knight; father-in-law Wilbur Machado; brother-in-law, Darren Machado; dear friends, Sheila Smith and Bob Fritz.
