Graveside services for Venita Jo (Crane) Rice, an Ada resident, were held Sunday, April 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Centrahoma Cemetery with Bro. Claude Lovett officiating. Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Rice was born February 16, 1933 to Frances Marion and Mary Myrtle (Wallace) Crane at Pauls Valley, OK and passed away March 30, 2022 at Ada, OK at the age of 89 years, 1 month and 14 days.

Venita graduated from Centrahoma High School with the Class of 1950 and attended Hills Business College in Oklahoma City and Grossmont College in San Diego, California. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business.

She married Louis Victor Rice August 30, 1951 in Wichita, KS. In the 1950’s, she and her husband opened Vic’s Go Karts in Ada, where local teens Gene and Benny worked for them. More recently she owned Country Club Liquor Store in Ada for 24 years. Venita was a member of the Central Church of Christ in Ada and liked antiques, animals and children.

Survivors include her children, Dorinda Faaborg of San Diego, CA, Rick Rice of Ada, Randall Rice of Centrahoma, Ron Rice of Ada and Angela Brashier and spouse Larry of Allen, OK; grandchildren, Kelly Knufken and spouse Jens of San Diego, CA, Dalton Brashier of Ada, OK, Amanda Bowman and spouse Christian of Stonewall, OK, Dakota Brashier, Henry Stallcup, Christopher Stallcup, all of Ada, Benjamin Stallcup and Ariana Council, both of Edmond, OK; 20 greatgrandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and sister, Jean Bridges of Sand Springs, OK.

She was preceded in death by her parents, France Marion and Mary Myrtle (Wallace) Crane; husband, Louis Victor Rice; grandson, Levi Smith; numerous brothers and sisters and son-in-law, Bobby Faaborg.

Casketbearers were David Crane, Ken Crane, Jim Crane, Dalton Brashier, Dakota Brashier and Christian Brashier.
