Viva Lee Eastridge

Funeral services for Viva Lee East-ridge, a longtime Atoka, OK resident, were held Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Atoka with Vernon Ray Eastridge officiating. Burial was in Butler Cemetery in Lane, OK with arrangements under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka.

Mrs. Eastridge was born April 24, 1935 to James Floyd and Adah Dora (Dodson) Nowlin at Farris, OK and passed away October 9, 2018 at her home in Centerpoint, OK at the age of 83 years, 5 months and 15 days. She attended Lane and Atoka schools and married Vernon Eastridge on June 1, 1952 at West Alison. Viva was a homemaker and attended Ethel Missionary Baptist Chursh. She enjoyed playing dominoes, working with her flowers and playing piano.

Survivors include her husband, Vernon Eastridge of Centerpoint, OK; son, Ray Eastridge and wife Mary of Crystal, OK; daughters, Roberta Wright and Rebecca Harbuck, both of Lane, OK; grandchildren, Preston Harbuck of Atoka, OK; Leanna Eastridge of Durant, OK, Michelle Eastridge of Watford City, ND, and Stephanie Berly and husband, Mike of DeRidder, LA; great-grandchildren, Carson Harbuck, Briella Eastridge, Layne Berly, and Brynlee Berly; sisters-in-law, Sue Nowlin and Dora Fay Nowlin; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Morris, Forrest, Jimmy John, Ben, Ted, and Carroll; son, Robert Eastridge and great-granddaughter, Reese Harbuck.

Casketbearers were Dickie Hop-son, Pat Kennedy, Bobby Cross and Andy Hale.
