Ted Elton May, Jr.

Funeral services for Ted Elton May Jr., an Atoka resident, will be held Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate. Interment will be in Woodman Cemetery. Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate is in charge of arrangements.

Ted was born on November 16, 1959, to Sandra Lou (Hayes) Graham, at Wilmington, NC. He passed away on September 15, 2025 at Denison, TX, at the age of 65 years, 9 months and 30 days. Ted graduated from Ruffin High School and went on to receive an Associate’s Degree in Cosmetology in Rocky Mount, NC. He was a hair stylist. Ted loved antiquing, going to thrift stores, going out to eat with family and friends, going to church any chance he got, and his dog, Shiloh.

Survivors include his siblings, Crystal Carroll, Jake Trevathan and wife Bonnie, all of Coalgate and Wendy Cops-WiseofTushka,OK;nephews, Jake Trevathan and wife Penny, Eric Trevathan and wife Jamaica, all of Coalgate, Derek Trevathan of Colbert, OK, and Marshal Phillips of Denison, TX; nieces, Haley Campandhusband Jesse of Lane, OK, Diamond Fleck and husband, Stuart of Lone Grove, OK; cousin, Pam Harper and husband Woody of NC; aunts, Becky Strickland of NC and Frankie May of NC; uncle, Jimmie May of NC; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Lou (Hayes) Graham; aunt, Edith Fisher; sister, Robin Phillips; niece, Stephanie Carroll; and grandmother Lillie May.
