Our sympathy is extended to the family of Sandra J. Ingram

Sandra J. Ingram, 76, of Wichita, Kansas, previously of Yukon, Oklahoma, passed away January 3, 2026, at the Kansas Veterans Home in Winfield.

Born August 7, 1949, in Ada, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Richard and Lola Lucille (Jackson) Ingram. At an early age, her family moved to Bakersfield, California, where Sandra received her education and graduated from high school.

She enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in 1968, and proudly served her country. She worked as a Supply Administration Operations person and a Drill Instructor. She was stationed in many places including Hawaii. She retired from the USMC in 1988. Following retirement, Sandra worked for WalMart for many years. She moved to Wichita to be with friends in 2021, and to the Kansas Veterans Home in Winfield in March of 2025. She enjoyed fishing and camping.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Robert Ingram, and her partner Suzanne Duquette.

Her friends Sue Gardner and Sharon Poitra of Wichita survive her.

Sandra will be buried with her mother in Coalgate, Oklahoma at a later date. Miles Funeral Service in Winfield is in charge of local arrangements.
