Funeral services for David Lynn Eaves, a Coalgate resident, were held Monday, October 19, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Coalgate First Baptist Church with Bro. Jim Lewis officiating, assisted by Bro. Tanner Sefcik. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery in Wapanucka, OK with arrangements under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate. Family night was held Saturday evening 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Coalgate First Baptist Church Mr. Eaves was born November 13, 1950 to Ray and Christine (Denton) Eaves at Lane, OK and passed away October 14, 2026 at Coalgate, OK at the age of 75 years, 11 months and 1 day. He graduated from Atoka High School with the Class of 1969. David was a coowner of Eaves Stone Products. He proudly joined The United States Army National Guard in 1969.

David married Deborah Shirleen Miles on October 20, 1973 at the Lehigh Baptist Church. They spent 53 wonderful years together before her passing. He was a Christian. David enjoyed being a cattle rancher, hunting, fishing, and working in his garden.

Survivors include his son, Jason Eaves and wife Cheryl; daughter, Kimberly Olatawura; grandchildren, Darren Counterman, Courtney Moore, Falyn Eaves and Tristan Eaves; brothers, Larry Eaves and wife Debra and Ray Eaves and wife Brenda; sisters, Jan Miles and husband Bobby and Rosa Sherrard; and brotherin- law, Don Newton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Eugene, Sr. and Christine (Denton) Eaves; wife, Deborah Eaves; sister, Patti Newton; and brotherin- law, Charlie Sherrard.

Honorary bearers were Billy Haworth, Troy Blevins, Gary Hensley, Trent Mixon, Mike Hensley, and Dee Hensley.
