In this age of gender equality, this is a sticky subject that could get me in trouble with a trio of educated and independent nieces, but they would stop short of hurting an old man physically, so here goes!

The halls are hushed as the day begins. Classes have started, and the only sounds you hear are the chatter of students behind closed doors.  Some doors are decorated with wintry scenes and others with simple signs or posters.
