If my Body Was a Pick-up Truck

If my body was a pick-up, this is the time I would be thinking about trading it in for a newer model.I’ve got bumps and dents and scratches in my finish, and my paint job is getting a little dull. But that’s not the worst of it.

Some may have to ask parents/grandparents the meaning of words/phrases. Words can be gone as fast as the buggy whip! It is sad really. The other day I said something to a young fella about driving a Jalopy and he looked at me quizzically and said what the heck is a jalopy? OMG (A newer phrase!

I have been in the newspaper business for over ½ a century. I love this business as much today as I did fifty years ago. Even in Junior High and High School I would buy both the Tulsa World and Daily Oklahoman everyday and had the local newspaper delivered to our house.
