I was going thru my files this past week to find some Easter items I wanted to share with our readers. The Children’s Bible in a NutshellA child was asked to write a book report on the entire Bible.

“Religion and politics don’t mix.” I have been told that many, many times. Friend and enemy alike have argued the point.Let’s see now. What do they mean by religion? “Religion” is the enemy of Christianity. Therefore, religion and Christianity don’t mix.

I turned another year older St. Patrick’s Day. It seems that the older I get the more I enjoy it. One of my favorite pastors, Chuck Swindell once said, “there is something grand about old things that are still in good shape.”

The following letter to the editor was the most touching I have ever read . . .The whole world paused this morning. Do you know why?

A church was in need of a preacher. One of the elders was interested in finding out just what kind of minister the church wanted.

One of my all time favorite Christmas movies is “It’s A Wonderful Life.” Dayna and I watch it every December.
