Read moreI call this the “Conner Mansion.” It was built in the early 1900’s by Dr. Lucian A. Conner (1858-1925), a physician who moved to Coalgate from Mississippi. I learned this from an old coffee-drinking friend, Paul Bristow, who knew the story, and I think his family used to own it. Dr. Conner died in 1925, and his spouse had died in 1914. Both are buried in the Coalgate Cemetery.
