Read moreA 29-year-old Tupelo man who last week took a car on what he called a joyride ended up in the Coal County jail. Chief Destin Wilkerson said he responded to a residence on Pine Street the afternoon of January 26 concerning a vehicle theft. Upon arrival at the residence, a woman reported that Dannie Gene Kelsey had driven away in a black Ford Fusion and was headed toward SH 48. Two women were at the residence.
