COALGATE, Okla. (KXII) - Coalgate High School senior Natalie Shaw has been named this week’s A+ Athlete for her achievements in academics, athletics and extracurricular activities.Shaw ranks first in her class with a 4.

The Coalgate Board of Education met Monday, November 3, 2025, with all members present — Board President Justin Brown, Chad Lackey, Tracy Penny, Gary Hensley, and Mark Benedict.

Sample ballots are now available for the November 18th election. Voters can download a sample ballot using the State Election Board OK Voter Portal at oklahoma.gov/ elections/ovp or pick up a copy at the Coal County Election Board during normal business hours.

Hope this news finds everyone well. We’ve had a very productive year. Visitors to the museum have increased this year. We have had visitors from various states as well as from our home county. We have also had two visitors from Paris, France.
