Jerri Gaye Cachero (nee Simes) age 64, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the Norman Regional Healthplex in Norman, Oklahoma. She was born at the Ada Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma on February 23, 1961, to Harmon Henry Simes, Jr. and Shirley Mavis Simes (nee Ray).

Graveside services for Ronald James Thompson, a Coalgate resident, were held Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 10-:00 a.m. at Coalgate Cemetery with Pastor Mitch Williams officiating. Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate was in charge of arrangements.Ronald was born on July 30, 1961, to R.J.

Ronald Dean Linscott passed peacefully at his home in Atoka, OK on July 8, 2025 at the age of 66. Ron spent the vast majority of his life living and working in Atoka County.He was born July 2, 1959 to Gordie Gene and Betty Lou (Weakley) Linscott.

A celebration of her life for Louise Hight Cain will be held at Brown’s Funeral Chapel on July 11th at 10 am with Rev. Jerry Williams presiding. Family night will be Thursday, July 10th 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Atoka, OK.

Funeral services for Billie Jo (Walker) Davidson, a longtime Coalgate resident, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at DeArman-Clark Funeral Home Chapel in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Interment was at Tishomingo Cemetery.

Funeral services for Thelma Lee Ellis Sweat, age 94 of Ardmore, OK were held on Friday, June 27, 2025 at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church in Tupelo. Interment was at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.Thelma passed away peacefully on June 24, 2025, at Kingston Family Care.

Laura Elizabeth Dodson, a lifelong caregiver and proud grandmother known for her humor, creativity, and deep love for her family, passed away June 25, 2025, in Coalgate. She was 69.Born October 23, 1955, in Ada, Oklahoma, Laura was the daughter of Glenn Earl and Minnie Eulala (Rush) Dodson.

Jerry Howard Jennings, a Coalgate resident, passed away June 20, 2025 at Coalgate at the age of 72. He was born April 27, 1953 to Norman Harrison and Doris Ann (File) Jennings at Oakland, CA. Jerry graduated from Hayward High School in California with the Class of ‘71.
