Funeral services for Johnny Marion Airington, Sr., a longtime Lehigh and Coalgate resident, will be held Friday, February 6, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Rev. Bruce Herion officiating. Burial will be in Lehigh Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements. Family night will be Thursday evening, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Johnny Marion Airington Sr, was born on February 2, 1941, to William Florence and Bessie Sever (Cochnauer) Airington, at Boswell, Oklahoma. He passed from this life on February 1, 2026, at Coalgate, surrounded by the ones he loved. JM was 84 years, 11 months and 30 days old. He attended school at Durant and Boswell. JM married Gracy Maudiene McClary on January 2, 1968, at Atoka, Oklahoma. They were blessed with 50 years and one day together.

JM and Maudiene owned Johnny’s New and Used Store and Johnny’s Auction for many years. They helped many people through their store and auctions. Their auctions were the local hangout for lots of folks to have fun and eat the best burgers in town.

JM was a faithful member of the Jesus Name Apostolic Church where he served as a Deacon and any other job he could find to do. He loved his church and will be greatly missed there. JM enjoyed having big yard sales at his place on the highway in Lehigh. His favorite time were camping and fishing with his family. Surely he has a pontoon boat in Heaven.

Survivors include his children, Tony Airington and Johnny Airington, Jr., both of Coalgate, Cynthia Loudermilk of Muskogee, OK, Terry Miller of Coalgate and Debbie Roulston of Elk City, OK; twenty-two grandchildren; numerous great-and great-greatgrandchildren; siblings, William Grady Airington and wife Virginia of Durant, OK, Berthy Genette Nichols and husband James of Lehigh, Effie Joy Bates and husband Massie D. of Ada, OK, Lillie Faye Roberts of Little Rock, AR, Vera Loretta Stevens and Sue Ellen Stevens, both of Lehigh; along with nieces, nephews, and many dearly loved family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Florence and Bessie Sever (Cochnauer) Airington; wife, Gracy Maudiene Airington; daughter, Rita Dillard and husband Danny; grandson, infant Johnathan Airington; great-grandsons, infant Haygen Sherwood and Johnny Jess “Baby JJ” English, Jr.; siblings, Juanita Airington, Rosie Coulter, Billy Buck Airington, Veham Junior Airington and Rufus James Airington.

Casketbearers will be Michael Sherwood, Timothy Sherwood, Danny English, Jr, Johnny English, Daniel Dillard and Markus Airington. Serving as honorary bearers will be Tony Airington, Jr., Patrick Estep, Nathan Airington, Taylor Airington, Dana Derrick, Steven Koen and Ryan Dale Spencer.
