The Tupelo Tigers baseball team opened the season on August 6th with a win 11-2 against Calera.On August 7th Tupelo Tigers were set to face off with Stonewall and Colbert. These games were canceled due to the rain.August 11th Tupelo Tigers traveled to Vanoss.

The Tupelo Tigers picked up their 10th win of the fall baseball season Sept. 4, holding off the Byng Pirates for a 7-6 victory.The win improved Tupelo’s record to 10-3.Cal Vick led the Tigers at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored.

The Coalgate Wildcats piled up 460 yards of offense and scored in all four quarters Friday, Sept. 4, on their way to a 38-13 victory over the Antlers Bearcats.The win evened Coalgate’s record at 1-1 while dropping Antlers to 0-2.

Funeral services for Larry Marvin Hensley, a long-time Lehigh resident, will be held Thursday, July 16, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Bro. Lloyd Thompson officiating.

Crowder High School senior Cashin Clifft has been selected to both the 2026 Oklahoma Native All-State Baseball Team and the Oklahoma Baseball Coaches Association (OBCA) Class B East All-Star Team, earning recognition as one of Oklahoma’s top high school baseball players.

Charges were filed May 7 against Tanner Chase Sanders, 26, Tupelo, for submitting a fraudulent theft claim with Progressive Insurance Company to cover the loss of a truck and travel trailer that he reported stolen on June 15, 2024.
