Baseball team sponsoring blanket drive

The Coalgate High School baseball team is sponsoring a blanket drive for Ruth Wilson Hurley Manor residents and Mary Hurley Hospital. New blankets with tags are now being accepted for delivery on Valentine’s Day. The drive will end February 11.

The 2021 Coalgate Wildcat football season was arguably their best of the past three years.Despite several heartbreaking losses, the Wildcats showed they could stay in a game and fight to the end, something they didn’t always do in the past.

The Coalgate Wildcats earned their first district win of the season Thursday on the road in Tishomingo by running the football past the Indians.The Wildcats amassed 343 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns during the game.
