STATE MEDALISTS — Josi Lackey, Patrick Kingston and Coach Matt Lane at the 3A state meet held May 7 in Catoosa. Josi placed 5 in long jump and Patrick placed 4 in 300 hurdles. “The kids worked hard all year to get the opportunity to go to the state track meet,” said Coach Lane. “We coaches are extremely proud of their accomplishments and are excited about them competing in state again next year. First time since 2016 Coalgate has had a state placer, and it was an awesome feeling to get two placers this year. They earned it.” (Photos by Nathan Hill.)
