Coalgate needed only one score to win Friday’s game against Marietta as the Wildcats defense blanked the Indians offense. With the win, Coalgate (2-6/2-3) is scheduled to play Christian Heritage (6-4/5-2) Friday in Del City. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.

Wildcats win defensive battle with Tishomingo

The Coalgate Wildcats beat the Tishomingo Indians Thursday to win their first game of the season. The win puts the Wildcats ahead of Tishomingo and Comanche in the Class 2A District 4 playoff hunt.

The Coalgate Wildcats had a rough outing Friday night and lost to the Marlow Outlaws 55-7. The Wildcats, starting their third quarterback in as many weeks, faced the fourth best team in Oklahoma Class 2A in Marlow.

The Tupelo Lady Tigers won their Class B District Championship with a 12-0 win over Wapanucka and 12-2 and 10-0 wins over Coleman to advance to last week’s Regional Playoffs in Roff. The 18 th ranked Lady Tigers faced a 9 th ranked Lookeba-Sickles first round for an impressive 5-3 win.
