Service held for Joyce Darlene Reames

A private family service was held for Joyce Darlene (Branom) Reames, w a Coalgate resident, at Lehigh Cemetery La with Bro. Richard Magby officiating.

Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Reames was born November 18, 1938 to Homa Cruz and Alnora Beatrice (Cordell) Branom at Oklahoma City and passed away April 15, 2020 at Atoka, OK at the age of 81 years, 4 months and 5 days. She attended Southeast High School in Oklahoma City and married James Lampkin on January 10, 1954. Darlene worked as a secretary for the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. She was a member of Lehigh First Baptist Church and fostered children for over 20 years. Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and foster children were her greatest joy.

Survivors include her children, Lori Morris of Mustang, OK, Michelle Powell and husband Mike, James Lampkin and wife Michelle all of Coalgate, and Anna Reames of Mustang, OK; sons-in-law, Ross Delong of Texas and Edward Kraus of Mustang, OK; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; brother, Bobby Branom and wife Judy of Oklahoma City; along with other relatives and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Sharon Denise Delong and Lisha Dawn Kraus; and grandson, Victor Shane Morris.

Casketbearers were Cody Powell, Holden Lampkin, Cooper Lampkin, Eddie Kraus, Josh McDougale, and Cord Wostal. Honorary bearers were Joey Kraus, Ross Eric Delong, Scott Morris, Jeff Paterson, and Russel Flores.
