James Tolbert Baldwin

Funeral services for James Tolbert Baldwin, a Coalgate resident, will be held Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Mr. Wendell Ingram officiating. Burial will be in Centrahoma Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements. Family night will be Friday evening, November 16, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Baldwin was born April 5, 1989 to James and Sandra Lynn (Smith) Baldwin at Ada, OK and passed away November 10, 2018 at his home in Coalgate, OK at the age of 29 years, 7 months and 5 days. He attended and graduated from Tupelo High School in 2008. James also attended East Central University and Murray State College in Tishomingo. He sold cars and was a DJ. James enjoyed Karaoke, hunting, fishing, playing guitar, video games, skate boarding, baseball, football and handball.

Survivors include his wife, Tara Reasor of Coalgate; stepson, Christopher McCoy of Coal-gate; son, Hayden Baldwin of Coalgate; mother, Sandra Stith and husband Bill of Tupelo; father, James Lee Baldwin and Claudia Belk of Alexandria, VA; brothers, Michael Baldwin and wife, Lauren of Tupelo, and Jeffery Baldwin and wife, Amanda of Frisco, TX; sister, Hailie Waltkins of Kiefer, OK; stepbrothers, Brandon Stith of Tupelo and Tyler Stith of Ada; nephews, Brayden Baldwin and Tyson Yoder; nieces, Brooklyn Baldwin, Addison Baldwin, Tylii Wilcox and Marlii Wilcox; sister-in-law, Anna Yoder and husband Chad of Wellington, KS; paternal grandmother, Martha Sue and husband Norman Hilbert of Brownwood, TX; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his uncles, Claude Smith and John Wallace, Sr.; maternal grandfather, Jimmy Dale Smith, Sr.; maternal grandmother, Mary Leota Smith; paternal grandfather, Steve Edgar Baldwin; paternal stepgrandfather, Willy Joe Peck; and godfather, Glenn Giard.

Casketbearers will be Tommy Brazeal, Bryan Layton, Chris Stall-cup, Ben Stallcup, Caleb Stallcup, Cameron Reed, and Skyler Bowman. Honorary casket-bearers will be Randy Roberts, Cody Hankins, Keith Tuffty, and Marshall Bowman.
