Jerry Glen Jackson

Funeral services for Jerry Glen Jackson, a lifelong Atoka, OK resident, were held Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Tushka Cemetery in Tushka, OK with Darwin Hall officiating. Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Jackson was born July 16, 1950 to Virgil Lee and Dovie Lorene (Wood) Jackson at Atoka, OK and passed away May 31, 2025 at Atoka at the age of 74 years, 10 months and 15 days. He graduated from Tushka High School with the Class of ‘69. Jerry married Bonnie Kay Maxey March 9, 1970 and they spent 55 wonderful years together before his passing. Jerry owned and operated Jackson’s Atoka Phillips 66, worked at Atoka Memorial Hospital, Stringtown Prison, Ethan Allen in the mill room for 24 years until it’s closing, Woods Design and as a parts cutter for Heavy Bilt Inc. in Coalgate. He was a member of Tushka Baptist Church, Tushka Fire Department and First Responders for 22 years where he served as Fire Chief. Jerry enjoyed watching the Tushka Lady Tiger softball games and giving Davey Durbin a hard time when he wasn’t spending time at the farm.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Kay Jackson of the home in Atoka; son, Terry Glen Jackson of Atoka; daughter, Tara Lynn Pittman and husband Bill of Tushka; grandchildren, Kelsey Ann Mobbs of Atoka, Trinity Pittman, August Pittman, Jah’ Kinzlee Mims, Jaxson Pittman, and Bentley Pittman, all of Tushka; g r e a t - g randdaughte r, Rhyder Belle of Atoka; along with numerous nieces and nephews that he loved.
Casketbearers were Trevor Begley, Matthew Begley, Cody Jackson, Onie Marlow, John Lee Jackson, Trinity Pittman, and Don Jackson, Jr. Honorary bearers were August Pittman, Mischele Jackson, Robin Banks, Brickie Griffin, Randy Daniels, and Misty Jackson.
