Kimberly “Kimmie” Daylene Ennis, an earthly angel, earned her heavenly wings on June 1, 2025, at the age of 50, with her loving family providing comfort by her bedside, in Coalgate, OK. Kimmie was born October 7, 1974, in Ada, OK to Daymond Dale and Paula (Forneris) Ennis. She was a cherished daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin, niece, aunt, and friend. Kimmie was recognized for her infectious laugh and warm hugs. She was a great source of love, happiness, and pride from the day she was born. She was brought into this world, the youngest of three children, and diagnosed with Down Syndrome, her family treated her like any other family member. They gave her the gifts of complete acceptance, confidence, and knowledge. They empowered her to graduate with a diploma, which she achieved from Coalgate High School in 1993. Kimmie was not deterred, and always led the way finding her own interests and great friends at a young age. She happily assimilated herself into every new situation she encountered. She had a sincere and passionate desire to see the best in everybody she encountered, particularly in her family. Kimmie always maintained a positive outlook, speaking highly of everything despite encountering many frustrations in her life.

Kimmie’s life served as a shining example of dedication, working at INCA in Atoka, OK, after 20 plus years of work, she chose to retire. She had a passion for swimming, participating in the Special Olympics, engaging in word searches, listening to Reba McEntire, assisting her mother with family holiday cooking, watching World Wrestling Federation, indulging in a “Monica” from Gonzales, cheering on OU Football, babysitting her great nieces, and bonding with her family.

Kimmie’s presence had a profoundly positive effect on those around her, making the world a brighter and more loving place. If those who knew her were to reflect on their memories of her, it is highly likely that they would smile.

Survivors include her father, Daymond Ennis of Coalgate; brother, Ronnie Ennis and wife Rachel of Coalgate; nephew, Tyler Ennis and wife Heather of Coalgate; nieces, Sondi Ennis and fiancé Bradley Stowe of Coalgate and Ronica Ennis of Coalgate; great nephew, Radley Stowe; great nieces, Jensy Ennis, Tyley Ennis, Charli Ennis, and Wrenley Stowe; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother; brother, Kevin Ennis; nephew, Eric Golden-Ennis; maternal grandparents, Frank and Beatrice Forneris; and paternal grandparents, Harrison and Lucille Ennis.
