Marice Emmit Williams

Funeral services for Marice Emmet Williams, a longtime Coal-gate resident, will be held Wednesday (today) March 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Bro. Danny Ward officiating. Burial will be in Coalgate Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Williams was born December 18, 1936 to Wilson and Fern (Baker) Williams in Coal County, OK and passed away March 10, 2019 at Coalgate, OK at the age of 82 years, 2 months and 21 days. He attended Pine School and worked as a carpenter and help build bridges, but his passion was ranching. Marice married Omega Marie Yother October 15, 1955. She preceded him in death September 11, 2016. Marice attended Cottonwood Baptist Church. He enjoyed wolf and coon hunting, fishing, hunting, raising cattle and loved anything to do with animals. Marice enjoyed the Choctaw Nation Trips and Cookouts.

Survivors include two daughters Angela Connor and husband David of Stonewall, OK and Lisa Williams of Lake Texoma, OK; grandchildren, Amber Hood, Col-ten Washburn, Kendel Knight, Brittney Knight, Skyler Cagle and Austin Connor; great-grandchildren, Alex Jarett, Khloe Knight, Jase Hood, and Victoria Knight; sisters, Opal Trent of Duncan, OK and Bernice Walkup of Wardville, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Fern (Baker) Williams; wife, Omega Marie (Yother) Williams; daughter, Deborah Williams; three brothers and five sisters.

Casketbearers will be Tim Williams, Terry Trent, James Frazier, Tommy Morgan, Waylon Dudley and David Enrico.
