Thelma Louise Huddleston

Graveside services for Thelma Louise (Choat) Huddleston, a longtime Tushka, OK resident, were held Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Condon Grove Cemetery in Milburn, OK with Pastor Billy Hall officiating. Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Huddleston was born November 6, 1924 to Hiram and Clearcy (Anderson) Choat at Sherman, TX and passed away March 10, 2019 at Atoka, OK at the age of 94 years, 4 months and 4 days. She attended Bullard Chapel High School and retired as a seamstress from Wrangler in Coalgate. Thelma married Guy Huddleston August 2, 1941 at Madill, OK. They enjoyed 57 years of marriage before his passing on March 10, 1998. Thelma was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Atoka for over 20 years where she was also secretary and treasurer. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, raising flowers and loved her cats.

Survivors include her sons, Bob Huddleston and wife Dreda of Wichita, KS, and Allen Huddleston and wife Debra of Tushka, OK; grandchildren, Dwayne Huddleston of Calera, OK, Tina Young and husband Boyd of Denison, TX, Robert Huddleston and wife Cindy of Wichita, KS, Dede Standridge and husband Sean of Farris, OK and J. B. Pritchett and wife Apryl of Tulsa, OK; eleven great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; along with other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Roy Choat, Troy Choat, and Morgan Choat; and sister, Mary Hornsby.

The Staff of Atoka Manor served as honorary casketbearers.
