Marzell (Sisson) Curtis

Funeral services for Marzell (Sis-son) Curtis, a lifelong Atoka and Coal-gate resident, were held

Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Atoka with Bro. John Howard officiating. Burial was in Bentley Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Curtis was born February 8, 1937 to Ralph E. and Pearl (Bench) Sis-son at Bentley, OK and

passed away February 28, 2019 at Coal-gate at the age of 82 years and 20 days. She attended Bentley Grade School and graduated from Atoka High School in 1955. Marzell married Howard Curtis and he preceded her in death in 1988. She was a homemaker and housewife and enjoyed growing flowers, gardening and sewing. Marzell attended Lehigh Baptist Church and was a Sunday School teacher for many years.

Survivors include one brother, T. J. Sisson of Atoka, OK; along with a niece, several nephews, other relative and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Curtis; parents, Ralph and Pearl (Bench)

Sisson; brothers, R. L. Sisson and Delbert Sisson; and sister, Maysele Mayo.
