Our Sympathies extended to the families of... James Delbert Holder

Funeral services for James Delbert Holder, a Coalgate resident, will be held Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Pastor Lyle Shipley officiating. Burial will be in Pine Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service in charge of arrangements. Family night will be Wednesday evening 6 to 8 p.m.

Mr. Holder was born March 5, 1946 to Joseph Delbert and Erma Leona (Sells) Holder at Atoka County and passed away January 2, 2021 at Oklahoma City at the age of 74 years, 9 months and 28 days. He graduated Coalgate High School in the Class of 1964 and was a cattle rancher and a retired county worker from Coal County District 1. He enjoyed his cattle, fishing, deer hunting and spending time with his dogs.

Survivors include daughters, Brenda Trevathan, Melinda Guinn and husband Bryan Bradshaw all of Coalgate and Charity Dawn Johnson and husband Chris of Muskogee, OK; son, James Holder, Jr. and wife Ronnea of Coalgate; ten grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy Nelson and husband Mike of Coalgate; special niece, Hailey Nelson of Coalgate; special friend, Patti Rogers of Oklahoma City and best friend Gene Rogers of Seminole, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Delbert and Erma Leona (Sells) Holder.

Casketbearers will be Alvin Pebworth, Dan Pebworth, Steve Cody, Bob Cody, Bob Strunk, Johnnie Bellettini and Gary Coffee,
