Our sympathies to the families of Karen Lynn Wilson

Funeral services for Karen Lynn Wilson, a lifelong Atoka, OK resident, will be held Thursday, June 17, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Atoka with Bro. Larry Luman officiating. Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka is in charge of arrangements.

Karen was born November 1, 1966 to Clarence Dale and Bobbie June (Wheeler) Wilson at Atoka, OK and passed away June 13, 2021 in Atoka, OK at the age of 54 years, 7 months and 12 days. She graduated from Atoka High School where she was the homecoming queen and was a cheerleader. Karen was an active member in FCCLA; she placed first in the solo and job interview competition. She also went on to represent Oklahoma in the job interview competition in Washington, D.C. Karen later attended Murray State College and Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

She was a homemaker and married Lance Battles and later married Jack Lee. Karen was a member of the First Baptist Church in Atoka. She enjoyed watching television, crafting, spending time and traveling with her friends, going to the casino and reading She was devoted and loved her friends and family. She loved to laugh and have fun.

Survivors include her mother, Bobbie June (Wheeler) Wilson of Atoka; companion, Rodney McKinney of Atoka; children, Nicole Lee, Rowdy Dale McKinney, both of Atoka; friends, Dustin Callicoat of Atoka, Elizabeth Goodson of Lane, Trapper Thomas of Ada and Aaron Hise of Atoka; grandchildren, Ellie Maylynn McKinney, Sydnee Taylor Thomas, both of Atoka and Aaron Dakota Hise will be here soon; Aunt Judy Wilson of Coalgate; uncle and aunt, Jim and Jerri Wheeler of Atoka. She was preceded in death by her father, Dale Wilson; maternal grandparents, Bob Wheeler and wife Minnie; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wilson; uncles, Russell Wilson and Bob Wilson; and uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Tucker.

Casketbearers will be Justin Manion, Rowdy McKinney, Dustin Callicoat, Bill Coble, Tanner Casey, and Aaron Hise. Honorary bearers will be David Holley, Mike Miller, Jack Lee and J. D. Burkhalter.
