Our sympathy is extended to the family of Clyde Wayne Workman

Funeral services for Clyde Wayne Workman, anArpealar resident, at one time a resident of Coal County, were held Friday, May 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Pastor Mitch Arteberry officiating. Burial was in Coalgate Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Workman was born March 31, 1934 to Theodore and Hester Savana (Williams) Workman at McAlester, OK and passed away May 11, 2024 at Tulsa, OK at the age of 90 years, 1 month and 11 days. He graduated from Haywood High School in the class of 1951 and was a production operator for the McAlester Ammunition Plant. Clyde enjoyed farm work, fishing, gardening, dancing and tending to his flowers.

Survivors include his son, Wayne Workman and wife, Terri of Arpealar, OK; daughter, Marilyn Teetshorn of Stuart, OK; grandchildren, Michelle Myers and husband Cody of McAlester, OK, Laurie Tripton of Ponca City, OK, Kyle Teetshorn and wife Taylor of Stuart, OK, Aaron Miller and wife Marcy of Haywood, OK and Layla Miller of McAlester, OK; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Doyle Workman of Cashmere, WA; lady friend, Cathy Long of Talihina, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Hester Savana (Williams) Workman; daughter, Kathy Miller; granddaughter Elizabeth Workman and sister, Lagatha Meeks.

Casketbearers were Kyle Teetshorn, Aaron Miller, Cody Myers, Lincoln Myers, Shannon Fry, and Brian Fry.
