Sara Ellen Schrock Passes Away
Services for Sara Ellen Schrock of Coalgate will be Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. at the Daniel Troyer Residence with Minister Abe Hershberger officiating, assisted by Allen Yoder. Interment will be in Clarita Amish Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate.
Sara was born August 26, 1931, to Abe and Katie Garver and passed away Monday, April 14, 2025, at the age of 93.
She was united in matrimony to LeRoy Schrock on April 3, 1952 in Haven, Kansas. They moved to Jamesport, Missouri in 1967 where they made their home for 40 years. They moved to Coalgate in 2007. Sara was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Walter, Eddie, Ray, Junior; sisters, Viola, Gertie, Edna, Clara; granddaughter, Susan Eilene Troyer; great-granddaughters, Sherilyn Kaye Troyer, Emily Suzanne Troyer, Karilyn Elaine Troyer; great-grandsons, Mikel John Schwartz, and Darren John Troyer.
Sara leaves to mourn, her husband LeRoy Schrock of Coalgate; four sons and three daughters, Mary Irene Kauffman and husband Ernie of Lewistown, Montana, Velma Mae Yoder and husband Joe of Crab Orchard, Kentucky, Edward Schrock and wife Verna of Coalgate, William Schrock of Willard, Missouri, Cathryn Kay Troyer and husband Daniel of Coalgate, Eli SchrockandwifeDorothy of Coalgate, LeRoy Schrock Jr. and wife Inah of Ligonier, Indiana; 40 grandchildren, 120 great-grandchildren, 14 great-greatgrandchildren; brotherin- law, John Henry Yoder of Willamina, Oregon.
Serving as pallbearers will be William Kauffman, Larry Schrock, Freeman Yoder, Matthew Schrock, Kevin Schrock, and Benjamin Troyer.
