Service Friday for Reva Maxine McWethy

Funeral services for Reva Maxine (Scott) McWethy, a Centrahoma resident, will be held Friday, January 7, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Tupelo Church of Christ with Wendell Ingram officiating. Family night will Thursday, 6 to 8 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate. Burial will be in Byrd’s Prairie Cemetery in Tupelo with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. McWethy was born November 12, 1935 to Arthur Young and Noba Barbara Lou (Whitten) Scott at Sugden, OK and passed away January 2, 2022 at Ada, OK at the age of 86 years, 1 month and 21 days. She attended Tupelo School and was a housewife. Maxine married Jerald Carlton Bell. Together they had five children. He preceded her in death. She then married William McWethy in California and he also preceded her in death. Maxine was a member of the Tupelo Church of Christ and enjoyed gardening, tending to her plants, playing the organ, and watching crime shows on television.

Survivors include a son, Jerry Bell and wife Elenora of Mead, OK; daughters, Brenda Bell, Kim Carrell and husband Steve, all of Centrahoma, Twyla Smith and husband Devin of Konawa, OK; sister, Edna Ingram and husband Bobby of Tupelo, OK; stepdaughter, Pauline Cox of California; grandchildren, Jerry Bell of Allen, TX, Holli Ward of Lubbock, TX, Myrissa Bell of Wylie, TX, Waylon Bell of OKC, Steven Carrell of Ada, Eric Carrell of Centrahoma, Heather Holsapple and husband Frank of Japan, Jakota Carrell and Amber of Jones, OK, Desiree Bell of Ada, Megan Eller of Blanchard, OK, Kelsey Eller of Konawa, Sydney Eller of Maud, OK; along with numerous great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and many dearly loved friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Young and Noba Barbara Lou (Whitten) Scott; husbands, Jerald Carlton Bell and William McWethy; daughter, Marla Fae Ward; brother, Edward Scott and niece, Cara Lynn Ingram.

Casketbearers will be Steven Carrell, Jakota Carrell, Eric Carrell, Ed King, Charles Hudson and Charles Canida.
