Service held for Kathy Gail Coffee

Funeral services for Kathy Gail (Murray) Coffee, a longtime Coalgate resident, were held Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Coalgate Church of Christ with Mr. Gary Guinn officiating. Interment was in Coalgate Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coal-gate in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Coffee was born April 2, 1948 to Harold and Hazel (Young) Murray at Coalgate, OK and passed away June 27, 2019 at Coalgate at the age of 71 years, 2 months and 25 days. She attended Coalgate Schools, graduated from Chandler High School in 1970 and attended Seminole Junior College. Kathy married Carl Coffee July 13, 1963 in Coalgate and worked several places including secretary for the House of Representatives and also worked at Wrangler. She was baptized at Wellston Church of Christ and was a member of the Coalgate Church of Christ. Kathy was one of the co-founders of the Historical Society and served as past president. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and making different things out of clay.

Survivors include her husband, Carl Coffee of Coalgate; two sons, Kelley Coffee and wife Margarett of OKC and Tracey Coffee and wife Tara of Coalgate; two brothers, Keith Foreman and wife Jan of Sulphur, OK and DelJuan Foreman of Coalgate; one sister, Cajuana Moore and husband James of Coalgate; ten grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Murray and mother, Hazel (Young) Murray Foreman.

Casketbearers were Joshua Coffee, Campbell Coffee, Garett Coffee, Matthias Coffee, Quinn Coffee, Stefan Flowers, and Logan Layton. Honorary bearers were Brianna Coffee, Ariel Coffee, Katriel Coffee and Gabrielle Coffee.
