Service held for Linda Kay Hinkle

Funeral services for Linda Kay (Moore) Hinkle, a longtime String-town, OK resident, were held Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at String-town Baptist Church in Stringtown, OK with Bros. Joey Lansdale and Loyd Thompson officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka, OK. Interment was arranged by Brown’s Funeral and Cremation Services of Durant, OK.

Mrs. Hinkle was born July 31, 1943 to Tom and Mattie (Stanford) Moore at Stringtown, OK and passed away April 29, 2019 at Atoka, OK at the age of 75 years, 8 months and 29 days. She attended school in Stringtown, OK and Buckeye, AZ and married Danny Dewayne Hinkle June 5, 1962 at Buckeye, AZ. Linda was a homemaker and housewife and a member of Stringtown Baptist Church. She enjoyed crafts, knitting, crocheting, camping, fishing and made dolls and doll clothing.

Survivors include her husband Danny Dewayne Hinkle of the home in Stringtown, OK; son, Nick Hinkle and wife, Goldie of Coalgate; daughters, Penny Maiden of Coalgate and Tracey Hinkle of Stringtown; sisters, Carol Bishop of Madisonville, TN and Glenda Lansdale and husband Jack of Stringtown; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Daniel M. Hinkle; brothers, Dan Moore, Dave Moore and Tommy Moore; and sister Betty Manion.

Honorary casketbearers were Jack Lansdale, Jerry Lansdale, Randy Lansdale, J. C. Gad-berry, Joshua Maidea, Lucas Madiea and Jonathan Lawson.
