Service held for Louis Junior Daffern

Funeral services for Louis Junior “Duck” Daffern, a Centrahoma resident, were held Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Centrahoma Baptist Church with Walt Collins officiating, assisted by David Daffern and Rev. David Boggs. Burial was in Centrahoma Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Daffern was born May 14, 1947 to William and Eula Jane (Stevens) Daffern, at Casa Grande, AZ and passed away July 5, 2019 at Centrahoma at the age of 72. He married Lola Compton July 28, 1970 at Centrahoma. She preceded him in death December 17, 2017. Louis was a mechanic and proudly served his country in the U. S. Army. He was a member of God’s House in Sunray, TX and loved Nascar and everything to do with racing.

Survivors include his sisters, Rose Johnson and Pat Johnson of Weatherford, TX and Debbie Johnson and husband Mike of Valliant, OK; brothers, Laurence Floyd “Duck” Daffern and wife Sue of Baltimore, MD, Danny Allen Daffern and wife Imogene, David Daffern and wife Doris, Gary Daffern and wife Linda, all of Centrahoma, and Jerry Daffern of Stonewall, OK; grandchildren, Jimmy Potts and wife Carrie of Stinnett, TX, Rachel Annandale and husband Joe of Morse, TX, Michael Potts and wife Krystle of Stinnett, TX, Eddie Potts and wife Debbie of Corpus Christie, TX, Becky Hays and husband Coleman of Dumas, TX, Matt “Bubba” Daffern and Ashley of Dumas, TX and Jessie Hawkins and husband TJ of Springfield, AR; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and brothers, James Leon Daffern, William Chester Daffern and Charles Richard Daffern.

Casketbearers were Matthew “Bubba” Daffern, Jimmy Potts, Michael Potts, Rodney Daffern, Matthew Shawn Daffern and Eddie Potts. Honorary bearers were Coleman Hays and Johan Annandale.
