Service Thursday for Brock Alan Tisdale
Funeral services for Brock Alan Tisdale, a lifelong Atoka resident, will be held Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Tushka High School Gymnasium in Tushka, OK with Bro. Joey Lansdale and Bro. William Bray officiating. Burial will be in Stringtown Cemetery, Stringtown, OK with Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka in charge of arrangements. Family night will be Wednesday evening 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Atoka.
Brock was born June 24, 2003 to Brad Alan and Brandy La Dawn (Haworth) Tisdale at Durant, OK and passed away September 16, 2018 at Atoka, OK at the age of 15 years, 2 months and 23 days. He attended Tushka High School and was a Sophomore. Brock was a ranch hand with the family ranch. He helped many friends and neighbors bale and haul hay and do many odd jobs. Brock was a member of Stringtown First Baptist Church, was saved and baptized at a very young age and was proud of it. He was a member of the Stringtown First Baptist Church youth group where he led in establishing the missions ministry and projects. Brock excelled in basketball with the Tushka team. He loved hunting, fishing, racing 4-wheelers, raising chickens and had intentions of opening a chicken hatchery with his best friend “T”. Brock was known by most to be a model person, was always full of life and was a very confident young man.
Survivors include his parents, Brad and Brandy La Dawn (Haworth) Tisdale of the home in Tushka; sister, Brayden Alana Tisdale of the home in Tushka; maternal grandmother, Patsy Haworth of Seminole OK; paternal grandmother, Elaine Farmer of Stringtown, OK; paternal great-grandmother, June Lankford of Coalgate, OK; along with aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and many dear and loved friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ron Tisdale and Paula Tisdale; maternal grandfather Rick Haworth; maternal great-grandparents, D. L. and Betty Wheat; paternal great-grandparents, Joe and Lois Tisdale; maternal great-great-grandparents, Milton and Gracie Haworth; and paternal great-grandfather Bill Lankford.
Casketbearers will be Trenton Fugate, Lucas Hannah, Kasey Frank, Josh Hauff, Tanner Hyatt, Seth Daniels, Patyon Williams, and Layne Allen. Honorary bearers will be Jerry Don McCoy, Shane Tisdale, Logan Seeley, Dalton Ranells, Carson Ranells, Tragg Ranells, Brandon Tisdale, Axel Smithart, Kase McCoy, Coach Howard and his basketball team.
