Funeral services for Mary Lee (Smith) Barrett, a Coalgate, OK resident, were held Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Atoka Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor R. J. Nanney officiating. Burial was in Green Meadow Cemetery in Atoka with Atoka Funeral Home Service in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Barrett was born September 8, 1949 in Dallas, TX to Orvis Vance and Kate Marie (Ham) Smith and passed away January 2, 2021 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 71 years 3 months and 29 days. She married James (Jimmy) Barrett March 7, 1981 at Kentwood Baptist Church in Dallas, TX. Mary was a receptionist/ telephone operator at SMCO Manufacturing Company in Dallas, TX. She was a member of the Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Commerce, TX.

Survivors include her husband, James (Jimmy) Barrett of the home in Coalgate, OK; brother, Vance and wife Kitty Smith of Buffalo, TX; sisters-in-law, Linda Smith of Mesquite, TX and E. Janyce Scroggins of Atoka, OK; father-in-law, Homer L. Barrett of Atoka; brothers-in-law, Lee and wife Pam Barrett of Ardmore and Leon and wife Beth Barrett of Holdenville, OK; special cat, Promised Cat (PC) of Atoka, along with a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and special church friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Kate Marie (Ham) Smith; father, Orvis Vance Smith; brother, Bill Smith and mother-in-law, Ellen Barrett. Pallbearers were Lee Barrett, Leon

Pallbearers were Lee Barrett, Leon Barrett, Anthony Barrett, Brian Barrett, Bradley Barrett and Jason Barrett. Honorary bearers were the Deacons and members of the Ruth Sunday School Class of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Commerce, TX.
