Funeral service for Boyd Williams Lewis, a Coalgate resident, will be held Friday, June 26, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Worship Center in Coalgate with Bro. David Unsell officiating. Family night is Thursday evening 6:00 to 8:00. Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate is in charge of arrangements.

Boyd was born on February 03, 1949, to JM and Emma Gene (Chesser) Lewis, at Roswell, NM. Boyd passed away on June 21, 2026 at Coalgate, OK at the age of 77 years, 4 months and 18 days.

He graduated from Dexter High School with the Class of ’68. Boyd went on to Junior College at New Mexico Miliary Institute. He was a rancher. Boyd married Janice Elaine White on January 19, 1973 at Lakewood, NM. He was a member of Cornerstone Worship Center and a lifelong member of NRA. Boyd enjoyed raising cattle, competitive shooting, his favorite was black cartridge rifle, saddle bronc riding, and restoring old cars.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Elaine Lewis of the home; daughter, Laura Lewis of Tahlequah, OK; brother, Charlie H. Lewis of Roswell, NM; sisters, Marilyn Stovell and husband Bill of Friona, TX, and Carolyn L. Knoll of Dexter, NM; mother-in-law, Johnnie Belle White of Tatum, NM; sistersin- law, Linda Johnson May and husband Michael of Roswell, NM and Kim White of Tatum, NM; family friend and fellow rancher, Christian Harvell of Coalgate, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family and dearly loved friends.

Preceding him in death were his daughter, Cari Elizabeth Lewis; parents, JM and Emma Gene (Chesser) Lewis and brothers-in-law, David Knoll and RJ Jophnson.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Daniels, Logan Kennedy, David Hall, Kelly Albrect, Ryan Brooks, and Jonathan Smith.
