Graveside services for Charles William Calvert, a lifelong Lehigh resident, was held Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Lehigh Cemetery in Lehigh, Oklahoma. Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Calvert was born on August 25, 1937, to Ellis and Juanita (Merchand) Calvert, at Lehigh, Oklahoma. He passed away on August 28, 2026, at his home in Lehigh, at the age of 89 years and 3 days. Charles attended school at Lehigh and graduated from Coalgate. He married Dolores Green on June 22, 1957, in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Charles’ strong work ethic led him to the El Paso Natural Gas Plant as the plant maintenance supervisor until his retirement. He enjoyed baling hay, gardening, hunting and fishing. While working in El Paso in his younger days, he liked playing softball. Charles also enjoyed going dancing. Charles and Dolores were blessed with 69 years together where they built a beautiful home and raised their sons, Kenneth and Boyd. He will be greatly missed in Lehigh. Survivors include is wife, Dolores Calvert of the home in Lehigh; sons, Kenneth Calvert and wife Mary of Lehigh and Boyd Calvert of Denison, TX; and step-grandson, Clayton Beers of Lehigh. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Juanita (Marchand) Calvert; brother, Paul Calvert; and sister, Pat Hefley.
