George Riley
Funeral services for George Riley, Jr., a Lula resident, were held Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Tupelo. Interment was in Allen Cemetery in Allen, OK with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Riley was born on August 14, 1956, to George R. and Lorene (Rains) Riley, at Allen, OK. George passed away on May 11, 2026 at Coalgate, OK at the age of 69 years, 8 months and 27 days.
He attended Lula School. George worked in the oilfield, as a truck driver, and as a ranch and farm hand. He proudly served his country in The United States Army National Guard. George enjoyed fishing, gardening, working on cars, spending time with family and friends, watching westerns and drinking coffee with the guys at the store.
Survivors include his daughters, Ashley Lemons and husband Tony of Tupelo; Kristy Riley of Konawa; grandchildren, Jodi Kaye Lemons, Randle Lemons, Morgan Scheets, Maecie Lemons, Sean Hilfer, Ethan Riley, Hailey Billey and Jaidan Billey; greatgrandparents, Kash “Money” Ragland and Oaklynn Hilfer; sister, Brenda Sue Riley of Ada; sisterin-law, Debbie Riley of Mt. Home, AR; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and dearly loved friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George R. and Lorene (Rains) Riley; and brother, Don Riley.
Casketbearers were John Schutte, Randle Lemons, Tony Lemons, Bob Anderson, Matthew Riley, and James Hunter. Serving as honorary casketbearers were Brian Riley and Sheila Riley.
