Funeral services for Homer Glen Haney, an Ada resident, formerly of Coalgate, will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Coalgate Methodist Church with Pastor Lyle Shipley officiating assisted by Steve Cody. Burial will be in Coalgate Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Haney was born on April 10, 1939, to Homer Cecil and Lillian Oneta (Bigford) Haney, at Olney, OK. He passed away on July 23, 2026 at Ada, OK at the age of 87 years, 3 months and 13 days. Glen graduated from Olney High School before attending Murray State College. He was the owner and operator of Phillips-Haney Lumber Yard for over 45 years; he also was a farmer and rancher. Glen married the mother of his children, Delores Jean Citron on November 22, 1963, they spent 22 years together before her passing on September 3, 1985. He went on to marry Sandra Lynn Glover on May 26, 1990 at the Presbyterian Church. Glen was a member of the Coalgate Methodist Church and the Oklahoma Lumberman’s Association for many years, serving in various positions as President and Vice President. He was very active in the community of Coalgate, often donating to various causes. Glen loved playing dominoes and in his later years enjoyed golfing.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Lynn Haney of the home; children, Vincent Haney and wife Stephanie of Atoka, OK and Connie Haney and husband, Vern of Glenpool, OK; grandchildren, Paige Gonzalez and husband Jake of Oklahoma City, Reide Johnson and husband, Robert of Yukon, OK, Chandler Haney of Oklahoma City, Chloe Wilson of Glenpool, Spencer Haney and Jon Carter Haney both of Norman, OK; greatg randchildren, Bentley, Connor, Gunner, Harper Johnson and Daniel Wilson; sister, Frances Thompson and husband Charles of Clarita, OK; brothers, George Haney and wife Ione and Kenny Haney, all of Coalgate; stepchildren, Keith McDaniel and wife Susie and Lesley McDaniel all of Sulphur, OK; stepgrandchildren, Cody McDaniel and wife Rocio stationed in Japan, Cade McDaniel of David, OK, Koye Shipman of Clear Water, UT, Wyatt Knott and wife Neveah of Davis, OK and Kaylyn Ducharm and husband Colin of Ada, OK; step-great-grandchildren, Bentlee, Blakely, and Oaklynn; along with numerous other dearly loved family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannie Haney; parents, Homer Cecil and Lillian Oneta (Bigford) Haney, great-granddaughter, Lillian Johnson; brothers, Joe Bob Haney and Dana Haney; sister, Mary English and husband Bob.

Casketbearers were Chandler Haney, Spencer Haney, Jon Carter Haney, Jake Gonzalez, Robert Johnson and Vern Wilson. Serving as honorary bearers were David Mask, Steve Cody, Bob Cody, Clay Mowdy, David Youngblood, Wayne Tomlinson, George Haney and Kenny Haney.
