A memorial service for Jerry Wayne Edge will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2026 at the Coalgate Cemetery in Coalgate, Oklahoma with Chaplain Louis Reynolds officiating. The burial of cremains will follow.

Jerry Wayne Edge passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026 in McAlester, Oklahoma at the age of 81. He was born on April 27, 1944 in Soper, Oklahoma. Jerry served in the United State Navy, and retired from the Southern Pacific Rail Road.

He is survived by his sister, Betty Lemons of Coalgate; wife, Cheryl (Johnson) Edge of Menifee, California; step grandson, Mason Charest of Riverside, California; nephews and nieces: Mike, Stanley, David, Wayne, Peggy, Patty, and other family and friends.

Jerry is preceded in death by his mother, Elvie (Elliott) Basham; and stepdaughter, Michele Charest.
