Steven Guy Newton, a Coalgate resident, was born on November 30, 1960, to Steven Arthur Newton and Gertrude Ann (Lee) Corser, at Queens, New York. He passed away on April 7, 2026, at Coalgate, Oklahoma, at the age of 65 years, 4 months and 8 days. Steven attended school at Athol High School. He served his country in the Infantry in the Army and also served in the Army National Guard. He was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his son, Dustin Newton and wife Suzanna of Coalgate, OK; grandchildren, Jensen Newton, Kaesyn Allen, and Remington Hendon; mother, Gertrude Corser and husband Richard of Royalston, MA; brothers, David Newton and wife Bonnie of Royalston, MA, John Newton and wife Cheryl of Athol, MA; sister, Judy Vitols and husband Kevin of Orange, MA; cousin, Chuck Lutz and wife Tammy of Payson, AZ. He was preceded in death by his father, Steven Arthur Newton; and sister, Susan Peters. There is no service planned at this time.
