Tony Kirk Gibby, age 63, a longtime Coalgate resident, was born on May 09, 1963, to Vada Mae (Martin) Nelson, at Coalgate, OK. Tony passed away on July 21, 2026 at Coalgate, OK at the age of 63 years, 2 months and 12 days.

He graduated from Coalgate High School with the Class of 1981. Tony was the maintenances supervisor at Coalgate Schools for 44 years.

He was a member of the Coalgate Volunteer Fire Department and the Tri-Lake Jackpot Bass Club. Tony enjoyed fishing, hunting all animals, watching any kind of sports, reloading bullets, going to All Pawns in McAlester, and mostly spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Sydney Lambert and husband Dustin of Coalgate; grandson, Landon Lambert; nephews, Justin McKinney of Washington, OK, Waylon McKinney and wife,Tarah of Nida, OK; great nieces and nephews, Jaxon McKinney of Washington, OK, Timber McKinney and Walker McKinney, both of Nida, OK, and Sara Nichols and husband Shelton of Wardville, OK; great-greatniece, Olivia Nichols of Wardville, OK; along with other nieces and nephews; uncle James Martin and wife Carol of Oklahoma City; beloved dog, Pistol of the home; cousins, Travis Martin of Norman, Shawn Martin of Oklahoma Cåity and Jeff Martin of Oklahoma City; mother of his daughter, Jessie Horn of Lehigh, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard andVadaNelson; grandparents, Homer and Vera Martin, Inez Nelson; Uncle, Anthony and wife Mary Louise Martin. The family will hold services at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate.
