Kiamichi Tech Receives Gold Star

Kiamichi Tech received the Gold Star Award for the 17th year at Oklahoma Summit, the annual CareerTech conference held earlier this fall. This award is designed to recognize technology center districts that have met rigid and demanding criteria demonstrating a high level of excellence. “It is an honor for our school to receive the Gold Star Award,” said Superintendent Shelley Free. “The award is a special achievement for our staff, board members and the communities served by Kiamichi Tech.”

A Coalgate man suffered major injuries Thursday, November 16, when his vehicle collided with another vehicle on US Hwy. 69 at 3 Arrows Road approximately 100 feet from Stringtown in Atoka.

Coalgate man injured in vehicle crash

A 13-year-old Atoka girl was airlifted to Children’s Medical Center in Dallas on Sunday, November 19, following a one-vehicle crash on Carr Penn Road approximately four miles west of Atoka. She was admitted in stable condition with head and trunk internal injuries. Five other juveniles escaped injury.
