I recently had a good visit with my friend Tim Schnoebelen of The Mooreland Leader. It is one of my favorite newspapers. Tim recently wrote the following and I really enjoyed it.

Dear Editor, During the month of January, we have the opportunity to recognize themenandwomen who share their time, vision and voice on our local school boards.

The gloomy wet views out of my breakfast room windows promised to go away before Pat and I get in our car and drive up for a sumptuous Thanksgiving meal up in North Tulsa hosted by our granddaughter Lindsey.

I would like to ask a special favor of the younger generation that will be visiting their parents and grandparents this Thanksgiving. Put your phone away! They would really like to visit with you.

To be or not to be. That was the question William Shakespeare posed once upon a time. That may well be the question that is put to the American people in this present hour. America and Americans are a “different” people in this world.

Please allow me to insert some information of a personal nature about myself.Some of you might know that I recently had (notice I did not use the word suffer) a mild heart attack. I have had a condition known as A-Fib for several years.

The Bullard family moved west on SH-3 from Centrahoma to Stonewall on October 19, 1944. At that time our family consisted of my parents, Cecil and Dora Bullard, my older brother Gerald, myself, Mana Sue and Linda Kay. Gerald was in the 8th grade and I was in the 5th.

If you are a human on planet Earth, you need money. We all carry it. We try hard to earn it. And whether it is found in the form of plastic, paper, or various alloys, we all depend on it every day. Money is important.
