Officer Kimmel observed a black Acura with Texas license plate LNF-9981 fail to maintain its lane on Main Street, where it turns into Hanover Street, a violation of O.S.S 47-11-309. Upon making contact with Mr. Tomblin, Officer Kimmel asked for his driver’s license, which he handed over. While running Mr. Tomblin’s information, Officer Kimmel observed that there was a license plate under the Texas license plate.

Deputy Kimmel with the Coal County Sheriff’s Office pulled over Anson’s Chevy pickup truck for not having tag lights. Upon making contact with Anson, the officer asked for his driver’s license and inquired about any weapons in the vehicle. Anson revealed he had a handgun in the back seat, which he handed over to the officer. The handgun was later found to be stolen.
